There’s no single way to tell the story of Minnesota food — and that’s exactly what makes Relish so delicious.
For Season 7, the beloved Minnesota PBS series is entering a new chapter with two hosts for the first time: acclaimed St. Paul chef Karyn Tomlinson and Rochester food storyteller Tiffany Alexandria. They’ll hit the road in Spring 2027 to discover the people, traditions, ingredients, and unexpected food stories that make Minnesota taste like Minnesota.
Meet Karyn Tomlinson
Tomlinson is the chef and owner of Myriel in St. Paul and a James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Midwest. At Myriel, she brings together Midwestern ingredients, French technique and the food traditions of her Minnesota upbringing.
Her approach to cooking is deeply connected to place, drawing inspiration from Minnesota’s farms, forests and culinary heritage.
“I’m thrilled to join Relish and have the opportunity to explore the incredible food stories happening throughout Minnesota,” Tomlinson says. “Food tells us so much about who we are, where we come from, and what we value.”
You can get to know Karyn and her approach to food in her Relish Presents episode, available now on Minnesota PBS.
Meet Tiffany Alexandria
In Rochester, Tiffany Alexandria has built a community around food, culture and storytelling through her creative project, CHOOCHOO-ca-CHEW, and is also the founder of the Rochester Night Market.
Originally from Taiwan, Alexandria uses food to celebrate culture and create connections. Through photography, pop-up dinners, dumpling classes, and other food experiences, she shares stories while highlighting local and seasonal ingredients, scratch cooking, small businesses, and sustainability.
“Food has always been one of my favorite ways to connect people and cultures,” Alexandria says.
“There is so much happening beyond the places we already know,” she adds. “I can’t wait to get out there and discover it together.”
A New Chapter for Relish
With Tomlinson and Alexandria at the helm, Season 7 will bring two distinct perspectives to Minnesota’s food culture. From established culinary destinations to unexpected discoveries in communities large and small, they’ll explore the people, traditions, and ingredients that make Minnesota’s food story distinctive — and the ways food connects us to our families, cultures and communities.
Season 7 of Relish premieres on Minnesota PBS in Spring 2027. Additional details, including the premiere date and episode lineup, will be announced at a later date.
